• Inpatient rehab: A residential program is inpatient, meaning you live onsite during your treatment for a period of time. Inpatient programs are a good starting point for most people struggling with addiction because the environment is secure, stable, and focused. You’re away from triggers or things that could derail your recovery in the earliest days of your treatment process.
• Partial hospitalization: Also known as a PHP or day program, during partial hospitalization, you have access to the full-day programming of inpatient rehab, but you return home at night and on the weekends.
• Medication-assisted treatment: MAT includes using FDA-approved medicines to help your recovery. These medicines aren’t cures for addiction but are used with behavioral treatments and mental health care.
