Currently onsite visits are not re-open, however we do permit virtual visits and family engagement.

COW has case management services that can assist in coordinating with the courts/legal concerns.
Clients attend Cedar Oaks from around the county, if travel is needed our admissions team can assist with the coordination, and onsite transportation is also available through our team.
As much or as little as you choose, Addiction and Mental Health treatment are diagnoses which are covered through FMLA therefore we will communicate with your permission with the HR directly at your company, releasing the minimum amount of information required for your leave of absence.
Cedar Oaks only releases information that you request to be released in writing.
DBT, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused, Person Centered
Group therapy for residential and detox is daily for 6 hours/ day. PHP/Mental Health Day Treatment is 6 hours/ day for 5-6 days/ week. Individual therapy is one 60 minute session per week.
Support Group services are offered as an elective and in addition to clinical programming.
Yes, nurses are on-site 24/7 and a provider is on call 24/7.
Inpatient is where the client lives on campus and is provided 24/7 support by the treatment team. This is the highest level of care outside of hospitalization. The purpose of this level of care is a controlled environment to provide stabilization, to prepare the client for the next level of care. Outpatient is where the client’s live at home or in supportive housing and commute to treatment. The purpose of this level of care is to provide the client support and healing while learning to live in their own environment.
We collaborate with other providers all over the country to support client’s from any location.
We do have an alumni program that gets together once a month to connect and share hopeful messages to current clients; and also once a quarter is an alumni event that’s a celebratory social event, as well as a place to reconnect with each other.
Each person’s detox process is different. It depends on specific details about the person withdrawaling such as their age, overall health, what they are using, how much and long they have been using, as well as other co-occurring medical conditions. The average length of stay in a detox level of care is 4-7 days.
Each person’s care is individualized. Treatment length is a collaborative approach including the following factors clinical recommendations, insurance authorizations, and client input. Here is a look at a range of stay for each program: Detox: 4-7 days; Substance Use Residential: 21-28 days; Substance Use PHP: 14 – 45 days; Mental Health Day Treatment Program: 25 – 45 days.
Everything that is discussed to treatment providers at Cedar Oaks is completely confidential. Cedar Oaks follows HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 guidelines regarding the sharing of confidential information. Cedar Oaks uses a treatment team approach, so team members will share client information to treatment team providers with the goal of serving the client and providing the highest quality of care.
Individual therapy occurs weekly.
A families involvement in a client’s treatment is an individual decision between the client and their counselor. The involvement of family can be highly beneficial to a person seeking services.
Board Certified Psychiatrist, Dr. Emad Alshami, is our medical director and staff psychiatrist that provides services to all Cedar Oaks clients directly or via nurse practitioner, Rachel Thatcher.
