Addiction treatment programs are usually going to look different for everyone. Your treatment journey isn’t the same as any other person’s, and most people go through what’s known as a continuum of care.

If you do a continuum of care, you might first go to an inpatient program. Then, gradually, as you’re more prepared to face challenges, you can start lower treatment levels on an outpatient basis.

Your Aetna drug rehab coverage might include some or all of the treatment levels, like:

• Detoxification: During this time, the first step of the recovery process, you receive medical care and treatment as needed. Withdrawal can otherwise be difficult or even dangerous to try and do on your own.
• Residential inpatient: An inpatient program is structured and gives a sense of stability, which helps you focus on your recovery work. You’re away from your typical environment, which can help you avoid triggers as you develop new coping strategies.
• Partial hospitalization: A PHP program is somewhat between residential and outpatient treatment. During a PHP, you go to the recovery center in the daytime, and then you can return home at night and on the weekends.
• Medication-assisted: Medication-assisted treatment includes using certain medicines with FDA approval to help the symptoms of addiction and the cravings that can come with a substance use disorder.

Cedar Oaks Wellness Center is the top provider in Ohio of rehab services. Our treatment plans are evidence-based and led by a team of experts. We are also in-network with Aetna.

As an in-network provider, we have a contract with Aetna. As part of our contract with this insurer, we provide our services to their members at an agreed-upon rate. This rate is typically lower than what would be charged if we weren’t in-network with Aetna.

If you’re the insured, you would be responsible for your co-pay, deductible, and coinsurance costs, depending on your plan.

Choosing an in-network treatment center is important because if you go out-of-network, your insurance may cover less of the treatment costs or not cover them at all.

An in-network program like ours at Cedar Oaks Wellness Center is screened in advance by the insurance company. It indicates that Aetna believes our programs deliver quality care and that we meet strict standards.

You may still need a pre-authorization, which we can help with. This process reviews whether the service or program you’re requesting will meet the criteria Aetna sets for coverage.

The Admissions Process

If you have Aetna coverage, one of the first things you’ll do is contact our center. We are a Cincinnati addiction treatment center, located on a peaceful 120-acre property. It’s a tranquil place to start your recovery.

Once we know your insurance company, member ID, and a few details about you personally, we can start the insurance verification and admissions process.

If you have out-of-pocket responsibilities, like you still need to meet your deductible, we’ll explain that. We aim to ensure you’re always clear on rehab costs and options.
