Randee Lacon
Chief Operating Officer

As Chief Operating Officer, Randee brings a strong background in clinical leadership, social work, and substance use treatment. She holds a Master of Social Work and is a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervision Designation and a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor. Overseeing all operational aspects of the facility, Randee is responsible for ensuring high-quality care, regulatory compliance, and team development. With extensive experience in trauma-informed, evidence-based treatment, she is passionate about creating systems that support client healing, staff growth, and continuous improvement across services.

Dr. Jessica Hoying
Medical Director

A prominent family physician, Dr. Jessica Hoying, understands the value of exceeding patients’ needs when they require medical attention. That is why she fosters a patient and family-centered atmosphere, backed by award-winning care. Throughout her career, Dr. Hoying has been both a physician and a patient which gives her a unique perspective of the healing process. She has seen all aspects of healthcare. Her intention is to bring medicine back to its true intention of focusing on the patient. Combining traditional and holistic practices to achieve the best outcome for each individual. She will help find the root cause of patients’ challenges and improve their overall well-being, health, and longevity.
Dr. Hoying received her medical degree from the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine in 2010 and completed her residency in Family Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina/Trident Medical Center program in 2013. She also holds a Master’s of Science in Anatomy from Wright State University and a Bachelor’s in Science in Biology from the Ohio State University.
In her professional experience, Dr. Hoying has worked at many hospital facilities as a hospital medicine physician and administrator including Medical University of South Carolina, Trident Medical Center, and the Mercy Health System. She also worked at outpatient primary care clinics at Medical University of South Carolina, Trident Medical Center, and Mason, OH. She has experience with patients with special needs and has over a decade of experience with this population at Coastal Center, many group homes in South Carolina and St. Josephs Home in Cincinnati, Ohio. In addition, she is Boarded in both Family Medicine and Addiction Medicine and has expertise in treating patients with multiple different diagnoses and substance use disorders of all types. Dr. Hoying is also training with the Institute of Functional Medicine. She is compassionate and caring to all.
Family medicine is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages. The specialist is called a family physician or family doctor. A family physician is often the first person a patient sees when seeking healthcare services. They examine and treat patients with a wide range of conditions and refer those with serious ailments to a specialist or appropriate facility.
Addiction Medicine is concerned with the prevention, evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery of persons with the disease of addiction, of those with substance-related health conditions, and of people who show unhealthy use of substances including nicotine, alcohol, prescription medications and other licit and illicit drugs. Physicians in this subspecialty also help family members whose health and functioning are affected by a loved one’s substance use or addiction.

Cassandra Vanover, CDCA
Administrative Director

Cassandra Vanover, CDCA, brings more than 10 years of healthcare experience to Cedar Oaks Wellness Center, with a background spanning hospital, clinical, and behavioral health settings. As Administrative Director, Cassandra oversees Human Resources, administrative operations, and the BHT team, playing an integral role in the daily operations of the organization.
As a Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA), Cassandra brings an additional clinical perspective to her leadership role and a strong understanding of the needs of individuals receiving substance use treatment. She is known for her genuine commitment to caring for both clients and staff and is always willing to step in wherever she is needed—whether supporting clinical services, assisting with operational needs, mentoring staff, or working directly with clients.
Her versatility, compassion, and hands-on approach make Cassandra an essential member of the Cedar Oaks leadership team. She is deeply invested in the success of the organization and, most importantly, in the well-being of the clients and staff who make up the Cedar Oaks community.

Jessica Ward, CDCA, QBHS
Group Facilitator

Jessica Ward is a behavioral health professional at Cedar Oaks Wellness Center specializing in substance use and co-occurring mental health treatment. She earned both her Associate’s Degree in Social Science and her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Miami University, providing a strong academic foundation for evidence-based practice and client-centered care.
Jessica is credentialed as a Certified Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA) and a Qualified Behavioral Health Specialist (QBHS). She is currently working toward obtaining her Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor III (LCDC-III) credential to expand her clinical scope and deepen her expertise in chemical dependency counseling.
Her clinical approach integrates psychoeducation, structured skills-based interventions, and recovery-oriented frameworks aligned with best practices in behavioral healthcare. Jessica facilitates structured group therapy and psychoeducational programming designed to strengthen coping skills, emotional regulation, relapse prevention, and personal accountability.
Jessica is committed to professional growth and plans to begin her Master of Social Work (MSW) program in Fall 2026 to further enhance her clinical competency and leadership within the behavioral health field.
At Cedar Oaks Wellness Center, Jessica is dedicated to fostering a therapeutic environment rooted in structure, compassion, and empowerment. She encourages clients to take ownership of their recovery journey and often reminds them to “be your own best friend” as they build resilience and long-term stability.

Alison Meager, NP
Nurse Practitioner

Alison brings 25 years of nursing experience and 11 years of experience as a nurse practitioner. She began her career in cardiology before transitioning into addiction medicine following her own struggles with alcohol and personal recovery journey. Her extensive clinical background allows her to effectively address complex medical conditions, including cardiac concerns and co-occurring disorders.
Alison’s experience in recovery has given her a deep sense of empathy, compassion, and understanding for those she serves. She views her work as deeply personal and finds purpose in what she affectionately describes as “treating her people.” Committed to continuing her professional growth, Alison is currently pursuing her Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) degree.
Outside of work, Alison enjoys spending time with her family, including her three granddaughters, her fiancé, and her dog, Diesel. She is also a devoted Green Bay Packers fan and especially enjoys watching them beat the Bengals!

Carrie Rollins, RN BSN CEHCH

Carrie Rollins, RN, BSN, CEHCH is a seasoned nursing executive with 19 years of clinical experience, in the acute care and home health care setting, including 13 years in healthcare administration. As Director of Nursing, she brings a strategic and compassionate approach to leadership, driving improvements in patient care, and staff development. Carrie is a Certified Executive in Home Care and Hospice (CEHCH), and has led initiatives that enhance care quality, streamline workflows, and empower nursing and physician teams. She is passionate about mentoring emerging nurse leaders and fostering a culture of excellence. Outside of work, Carrie enjoys spending time with her husband and three children and cheering on her favorite Cincinnati sports teams.

Stacie McTernan, BSW, LSW

Stacie McTernan has been part of the Cedar Oaks team for nearly four years. She began her journey with the company as a Discharge Coordinator, where she developed a strong passion for supporting clients and families as they transitioned from treatment into the next steps of their recovery. Stacie then transitioned into the role of Group Facilitator before expanding her work as an Individual Therapist.
Stacie has worked in the social services field for almost 19 years. She graduated from Morehead State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Services and became a Licensed Social Worker in 2016. Throughout her career, Stacie has worked with individuals struggling with mental health and addiction in various forms, with a particular passion for addiction treatment and recovery.
Stacie is passionate about helping people recognize their strengths, find hope, and move forward on their journey of recovery. She feels truly blessed to be part of the Cedar Oaks team and values the compassionate, individualized approach to treatment. She strives to support each client with kindness, understanding, and compassion while helping them work toward meaningful and lasting change.
In her spare time, Stacie enjoys cooking, music, and spending time with her family, friends, and cats.

Michelle Gabbard, MSW, LSW
Primary Therapist

Michelle brings a unique blend of healthcare, public health, and behavioral health expertise to her work with clients and communities. She began her career as a nurse and earned an associate degree in Business Management before discovering her passion for advocacy, mental health, and substance use recovery. This led her to pursue a Bachelor of Social Work with a concentration in Substance Use Counseling and a minor in Public Health from the University of Cincinnati. She later earned her Master of Social Work from The Ohio State University.
Michelle has been a Certified Recovery Peer Support Facilitator through the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services since 2024. She has extensive experience in behavioral health and public health policy, having served five terms as a Public Health Advisor with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) through the Washington Federal Internship Program. In this role, she supported initiatives within the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, the Behavioral Health Crisis Coordinating Office, and the Office of Recovery.
Beyond her federal service, Michelle has contributed to numerous research, policy, and advocacy initiatives, including the EMPOWER Project, the Ohio Center of Excellence for Behavioral Health Prevention and Promotion QPR Advisory Committee, the Ohio Problem Gambling Coalition, Cradle Cincinnati’s Policy Committee, and the Health Justice Lab at the University of Cincinnati College of Nursing.
Michelle is an active member of several prevention and advocacy organizations, including the University of Cincinnati Prevention Coalition and the Southwest Ohio Problem Gambling Coalition. She is deeply committed to reducing stigma surrounding mental health and substance use disorders, advancing recovery-oriented systems of care, and addressing healthcare disparities affecting underserved and marginalized populations.
Her professional interests include addiction science, trauma-informed care, mental health, women’s health, maternal mental health, suicide prevention, gambling disorder prevention and treatment, and services for high-risk populations.
Outside of her professional work, Michelle enjoys volunteering in her community, caring for her houseplants, spending time with her cats, and creating lasting memories with her children and extended family.

Daniel Griffin, BSW, LCDC II, SWA

Daniel Griffin is a dedicated behavioral health professional with a passion for helping individuals and families navigate substance use disorders, mental health challenges, and the journey toward lasting recovery. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Social Work from The Ohio State University and is currently pursuing his Licensed Social Worker (LSW) and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor III (LCDC III) credentials.
Daniel holds credentials as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor II (LCDC II) with a gambling endorsement, Social Work Assistant (SWA), Certified Peer Recovery Supporter, Certified Family Peer Supporter, and Ohio Certified Prevention Specialist Assistant (OCPSA).
With experience in residential treatment, detoxification, and clinical counseling, Daniel brings a well-rounded perspective to behavioral healthcare. He has a particular passion for problem gambling awareness, education, and prevention. He is actively involved with the Southwest Ohio Problem Gambling Coalition, where he previously served as Communications Chair and continues to contribute to education, outreach, and prevention initiatives.
Daniel is also passionate about criminal justice reform and supporting individuals navigating reentry after incarceration. Drawing from his own lived experience in recovery, he recognizes the importance of reducing stigma, addressing barriers to treatment and community reintegration, and helping individuals build meaningful lives beyond their past.
Through his work, Daniel strives to combine professional expertise with compassion, advocacy, and a commitment to meeting people where they are. He believes that everyone deserves access to the resources, support, and opportunities necessary to achieve lasting recovery and personal growth.

Erin Fallath, LPCC-S
Clinical Supervisor

Erin Fallath is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor Supervisor with over ten years of experience in mental health and addictions treatment. They graduated with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2016 from the University of Cincinnati. Erin has spent their career in every level of care, from outpatient to residential treatment, and has a passion for trauma-informed care, LGBTQ+ and marginalized communities, and substance use disorder treatment. Erin is fully EMDR-trained and brings a passion for teaching to their work with clients and supervising staff. Erin recognizes the ability within all people to learn and grow, and brings that out with patience and perseverance. As the clinical supervisor for Cedar Oaks, Erin oversees clinical operations and specialty programming, as well as curriculum development. When not at work, Erin can be found with their family, playing video games, or somewhere in the woods with a map, boots, and a fishing pole.

Angela Ditmer, CDCA, QBHS, CPRS

Angela is passionate about helping individuals find hope, strength, and connection throughout their recovery journey. Her own lived experience with addiction and recovery gives her a unique understanding of the challenges individuals face, as well as the courage it takes to make meaningful and lasting changes.
Angela believes strongly in the power of compassion, connection, and second chances. She uses both her professional experience and personal journey to meet individuals where they are, help them recognize their strengths, and support them as they begin rebuilding their lives.
For Angela, this work is deeply personal and incredibly meaningful. She believes that no one should be defined by their past and is passionate about helping others discover that recovery can provide an opportunity to create a hopeful and fulfilling future.

Valarie Fuller, BSW, LSW

Valarie Fuller, BSW, LSW, is a Primary Therapist at Cedar Oaks Wellness Center with 22 years of experience in social work across a variety of healthcare settings. Since 2020, she has focused her work on recovery and therapy, supporting individuals navigating substance use and mental health challenges.
Valarie is passionate about group facilitation and helping clients apply therapeutic skills to everyday life. She takes pride in creating a supportive space where individuals can build confidence, recognize their strengths, and find a meaningful path forward in recovery.
Outside of work, Valarie enjoys spending time with her family and two dogs, as well as playing video games.

Laci Satterfield, CDCA, QBHS, Peer Support Specialist

Laci Satterfield brings both professional training and lived experience to her work in the recovery field. As a mother of five and a person in long-term recovery, Laci understands firsthand the impact addiction can have on individuals and their families, as well as the hope that comes with recovery.
Laci's struggle with addiction began at a young age as a way to cope with the loss of her grandfather and continued for nearly 19 years. During that time, addiction led to significant losses, including her children, relationships, housing, and ultimately her sense of hope. Today, Laci has been living in recovery for more than two and a half years. She has regained custody of her children, rebuilt relationships with her family, and created a life centered around helping others.
Laci holds credentials as a Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA) and Qualified Behavioral Health Specialist (QBHS), along with certifications in Peer Support and Case Management. She considers it an honor to use both her education and her own recovery journey to connect with individuals who are struggling and help them recognize that their lives can change.
For Laci, recovery is about more than staying sober—it's about rebuilding a life, restoring relationships, finding purpose, and becoming the person you know you are capable of being.

Ryan Crossley-Bishop, QBHS
BHT Supervisor

Ryan Crossley-Bishop is the BHT Supervisor at Cedar Oaks Wellness Center, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Behavioral Health Technician team. As a person in recovery, Ryan brings lived experience, patience, and empathy to his work. He is often found supporting clients through difficult moments, offering encouragement while helping them stay accountable to their recovery goals.
Ryan’s willingness to help extends throughout the center, whether he is assisting in the kitchen, supporting the clinical team, or guiding BHT staff. He also teaches clients about stoicism each week, encouraging them to focus on what they can control and respond to challenges with intention.
A lifelong student, Ryan values continued learning and teamwork. His approachable, steady presence reflects his commitment to helping others and contributing wherever he is needed.
