I've struggled with alcohol and cocaine since I was a young kid. When my rock bottom hit rock bottom, I knew I needed help. While looking for rehabs, I found one in Tennessee. I took the 8 hour drive only to turn around and come home. I didn't like the vibe. I kept seeing cedar oaks come up on my searches. So I decided to call. BEST decision I've ever made. The staff saved my life!! Shout out to Dee Dee. I can't even describe the bond that we had from the get go! And I miss her terribly.I could never put into words what the staff did for me. I am 47 days sober and that is the longest period I've ever gone. Quiet atmosphere. Amazing staff. In the middle of nowhere. I recently completed a 30-day stay at this residential alcohol rehab facility, and I can honestly say it was a life-changing experience. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed, supported, and genuinely cared for by the entire staff.

The nursing support staff was absolutely incredible — compassionate, empathetic, attentive, and always willing to listen. They made a difficult process feel much more manageable, and their kindness truly stood out. The BHT staff was equally wonderful: friendly, engaging, supportive, and always encouraging throughout my stay.

The group sessions were one of the most impactful parts of the program. They provided deep personal insight, practical tools for long-term success, and created a strong sense of connection and support among peers. I left with a much greater sense of self-awareness and confidence moving forward in recovery.

The environment itself was peaceful and healing. The facility sits on 112 acres of beautiful wooded surroundings that created a serene, calm, and tranquil atmosphere perfect for recovery and reflection. The activities offered were thoughtful, relaxing, and helped promote both mental and emotional wellness.

The accommodations were comfortable, with adequate living space, private bathrooms, and comfortable beds that made the stay feel safe and relaxing. The food was another unexpected highlight — meals prepared by the executive chefs were consistently amazing and far exceeded expectations.

Overall, I would highly recommend this facility to anyone seeking help with recovery. The combination of caring staff, meaningful programming, beautiful surroundings, and supportive community made this an experience I will always be grateful for. Truly a 5-star program.

Cedar Oaks Wellness Center provided me with the support and structure I needed to completely change my life. From the admissions process to the clinical team, everyone treated me with compassion and respect. I was in treatment at Cedar Oaks from August-October 2024 due to 30+ years of mental health and substance abuse issues and I have to say that Cedar Oaks is my lifesaver!
The peaceful wooded magical-ness and  camp-like feel of the place and its healing vibes was a blessing. I couldn’t believe something like this existed!
From the first moment I made contact with Cedar Oaks I was carried through the process by the ever patient Brooke. Brooke-thank you for “holding my hand” through the entire process up until walking through the doors, you helped me through one of the hardest times in my life and you made me feel seen, heard and like I wasn’t a burden, even with all of my questions and texts.
Thank you to all the staff: nurses, therapists, counselors, RA’s, chefs, maintenance, administrators, admissions, and everyone else that helps make this place possible, such as the continuing care/follow up team-thank you for your check-ins and words of encouragement- especially Gabriella, thank you Gabriella! I’m sure you were busy but you didn’t make me feel that way.
And a HUGE shout out to Valeri, Stacie, DeeDee and AJ-you ladies are rock stars and each one of you changed my life, I will never forget you; you do the work of angels, truly.
Cedar Oaks is a place I look back on fondly; from the personalized care, the nightly bonfires, all the tie-dyeing and bracelet making I could do, to the cherished bonds/life-long friendships I made along the way AND especially the difference in my overall health and well being! I would highly recommend Cedar Oaks. I struggle with alcohol and finally made the very scary and hard decision to go to inpatient treatment. I started with detox and the nurses and the rooms were Amazing. They made me so comfortable. Then I switched to residential treatment, which I was so scared to do being such an introvert but the counselors talked with me and listened and I decided to stay. I'm so glad I did. The group counselors were great and it was so Educational and fun. I also extremely loved Stacey who was my personal counselor. She helped me so much, was so compassionate, had empathy and really helped me see things from different perspectives. She was Awesome!

Also, the food was Amazing and the RA's were so nice. I want to add a special compliment to the the RA Brent. I had to go to the doctor and it was about an hour there and back. I was nervous being in a car with someone I barely knew but we had some nice conversation and he was so easy going and kind. For someone like me that meant so much.

It's such a beautiful place too, unfortunately I was there during the massive snow storm and couldn't enjoy the outdoors as much as I would have liked but still incredibly calming and beautiful.

Thank you All for making my stay wonderful! I'm still sober and that is partly due to Cedar Oaks and their amazing program.
